Me
"I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him." Abraham Lincoln
Gratefully, I have spent my adult life doing what I love. I started my career fighting fires with my hometown fire department, which was not only as awesome as it sounds, but sparked my desire to live a life of public service. A couple months after 9/11 I joined the US Army, via the National Guard, and began my 12 year military journey as a combat medic.
I returned from a tour in Iraq inspired by the resolve of war-torn communities to bootstrap their recovery and formed a non-profit community revitalization organization. Was soon after elected to city council where I sought to discover new ways to innovate our governments.
Over decade later, I've worked with startups and civic tech companies, helping to ensure various platforms and tools met agency needs while maintaining competitiveness and scalability.
I've been honored to be appointed by officials like the Oklahoma Speaker of the House and the Mayor of Oklahoma City to serve in various advisory roles and have graduated from the Oklahoma State University Fire Service Training Academy, US Army Infantry Center, and the US Army Academy of Health Sciences.
